I made that same mistake once. Being accustomed to placing the dye on dry hair I did the same with Natural Instincts and YES it made a big horrible difference though I think how different depends on what colour you are using. In my case I called Clairol and they told me to wash my hair with lemon DISH detergent (eg, Sunlight) because it would strip away some of the colour.

With most home color kits you buy, you dye your hair with it dry so the color can absorb better.

Nope it wont make a difference, ive died my hair at least 10 times blonde colors (but im a natural blonde) and everytime i did it dry, which is how its suppose to be done.
