Frizzy, poofy hair, dandruff too,.....outer layer very dry n dead n am sooo tired of ma hair...any natural?

Have you tried washing it? Wash it every day. Maybe you can wash it and then go to the hairdressers straight after and they will cut it and put some of their product in and then it would be fresh lookin' again. Even ask the hardresser for some tips, explain your situation.

Getting hair back to it's natural form?

Can hair really permanently go back to how it naturally was? I mean, I used to have really nice, silky, smooth hair, but a year and a half ago, it became dry and poofy.

Everybody tells me that I should use this shampoo and that conditioner, but will all those ever restore hair back to it's natural beauty? Or just make it worse?

Getting hair back to it's natural form?

lots of conditioner and stop blow frying it and straitening it, hair is dead already so youre gonna have to let the new hair just grow it make sure you trim it once a month too i promise it will look better with time

Is vigorol a chemical relaxer? Will it convert my hair from natural to a full chemical relaxed?

I have been without a chemical relaxer for five months. I want to know if Vigorol is a real chemical relaxer that will interefere with a natural sytle.

Is vigorol a chemical relaxer? Will it convert my hair from natural to a full chemical relaxed?

Vigorol is a real chemical relaxer even though it's a liquid. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, especially for how many minutes to leave it on. Because it is a chemical relaxer, make sure your hair is in top condition before relaxing and keep it conditioned afterwards so it doesn't get dry. Keeping the ends trimmed will also help it to look it's best.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

The Turks in Turkey are a nation, not a race so Turkish people with Black Sea Region, Balkan or Macedonian heritage are approx 70 % blond, whereas people with Kurdish, Arabic, Armenian etc. heritage are approx 90% brunettes.

Then there are a huge amount of 'mix' s like myself who are brunettes with lighter complexion or some blonds with tanned complexion.

Hard to tell actually.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

eh %10 maybe or a little lower. There are more brunettes than blondes in Turkey.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

If you mean real blond about 5%, darker blond 10% and many many brunettes and about the same for black (about 40% + 40%)

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

This is like asking how common it is for Swedish women to have dark hair. We don't judge people's ethnicity by color or race or genetics. But to answer your question, I really don't know. There are quite a lot of blonde Turkish ladies.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

Very common on my mother's side. They are all blondes, as a matter of fact. Even more, the whole village my mother comes from is blond and blue or green eyed.

I don't know how my cousin got her curly red hair, though. Must be from her own mother who is from another village.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

Hi,

Something About Turkish women;

Please read it;

Since the establishment of the Turkish Republic in the 1920s, women have had equal status with men in Turkish society, at least in law.

But Turkish society was ruled by shari'a (Islamic religious law) and a body of medieval social custom for 500 years during the Ottoman Empire, and significant cultural change does not come overnight.

The status of women in Turkey is different from what it is in your home country. Not "better," not "worse," but different. In some ways, women may seem subservient to men; but Turkey had a female supreme court justice long before the USA did, and Turkey has had a female head of government, something the USA, for all its success in women's liberation, has not yet had.

Men's and women's roles were clearly defined in traditional Turkish society and each gender was more or less sovereign within its appropriate realm. The husband-father was head of the household, but the wife-mother was in charge of the house and family. Men went out of the house to deal with the world of business, government and military; women stayed close to home and tended the crops, the animals and the household.

The ranking, behavior and appropriate attitude for each family member was clearly defined: imperious mother-in-law, submissive youngest child, etc. (It was the same even in the sultan's palace: although the sultan was the monarch, it was his mother, the Valide Sultan, who decided which harem girls he would sleep with, and when!)

Atat鐪塺k's reforms hoped to blast these centuries-old traditions to smithereens, and to liberate women completely so they could participate in every aspect of society equally with men.

The veil was outlawed; civil marriage and divorce were established; Turkish women obtained the right to vote (long before women in Switzerland had that right), to hold political office, and to bequeath and to inherit wealth in their own right.

Though these reforms were dramatically effective, society does not change easily or quickly, and even Atat鐪塺k's bold, foresightful measures could not change everyone's thinking all at once.

Arranged marriages are still common in the countryside and among the more traditional, religious families, although in the cities modern ideas of girl-boy courtship, love and marriage are not uncommon. Female virginity upon marriage is valued (and often expected), though it is not universal anymore.

In Turkey, as in most societies閳ユ攨ven the ones thought to be most liberal in their attitudes toward women閳ユ敎ou'll find a range of attitudes toward women.

If you, a foreign female visitor, observe Turkish cultural norms (ie, behave as a Turkish woman would behave), you will be treated with politeness and respect.

Whether you do this or not, you will probably be in far less physical danger in Turkey than you'd be in many more "liberal" countries.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

I don't know. I don't walk around counting blond people here.

How common is it for turkish women to have natural blonde hair?

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

I've been highlighted, low-lighted, colored for years. How do I make a graceful transition to natural color, grays and all?

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

I would suggest letting your hair grow out long enough so that your stylist can match the base color. Then just color it all as close and you can get it to the same color and let it grow out. You may want to consider a shorter hairstyle if you don't already have one (less hair to deal with in transition phase).

If you don't make some attempt to go back to your natural color it will probably be very obvious that you have colored your hair. Roots never send a well-kept message.

Good luck!

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

let it grow out.. what I am having to do :( I found no other way to get my natural back..

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

I would say shave yourself bald and wait for it to grow... but I doubt your a guy...

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

well dont curl it until its a good lenght you can live with a few months it helps to let it grow faster if any questions please be free to email me

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

Try going to a salon and having them match your natural color, with greys, color your whole head that color. Then, so it isn't sooo drastic, have them add light blond subtle highlights to it. Each time you go to the salon, have them use less highlights and more of your own color.

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

Have the stylist dye your hair one last time, to a color similar to your natural, or a color that wouldnt look crazy next to your natural as it begins to grow, and just keep it trimmed as it grows out!

How best to let your hair grow natural, after being colored?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

What type of moisture shampoo and conditioner could I used on my natural kinky hair?

depends on your hair. kinky hair are dry at the ends. i love mizani shampoo and conditioner. I don't have anything against over the counter products but you do get what you pay for. it's mainly diluted with water. if you purchase salon products, you are able to use less of the products.

i think any line will do. but what i like is if you want that natural finish look as well, purchase the foaming pomade by paul mitchell. rub it against your hand evenly and apply it on your hair throughout. maybe a little shine will help.

some people use gel or shine pomade around the hairline.. but you must use the right product for your hair type.

What type of moisture shampoo and conditioner could I used on my natural kinky hair?

you could use Tresemme moisture plus, thats really good it works for my hair and i havent relaxed mine for three years (its really kinky right about now) or you could also try some "Miss Jessie's" hair products ...you can order them online @ www.missjessies.com, get the travel pack and you get minitures of the best selling products. Another thing i use is Paltas (my mum used to use it back in the day and she recommended it to me) I use all of these products ...Hope this is of some help to you...

What type of moisture shampoo and conditioner could I used on my natural kinky hair?

I just bought "Soft sheen-carson optium oil therapy" i havent used it yet but it does have coconut, olive, avocado and jojoba in it so..But i do know Pantene Pro-v relaxed and natural didnt do nothing 4 my hair.

What type of moisture shampoo and conditioner could I used on my natural kinky hair?

A lot people like creme of nature shampoo, that's what I use. For a moisturizing conditioner I use suave humectant right now.

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

I didn't want to cut all of my permed hair off yet- I want to wait about six months when I grow enough new growth. In the meanwhile, what styles really help? Weaves? Braids? What are your experiences? Lots of details please!

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

You can get your hair braided. It takes a while to get use to it without the chemicals in your hair but you will pull through. I am a perfect example of transtioning. You can check out my hair on http://www.myspace.com/aphillynative and or you and go to http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/default.... where you can get a lot of support and great tips on how to maintain weaves, braids etc. These sisters on this page gave me a lot of support. My hair has grown so much and it's healthy and strong.

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

Braids Braids and braids, and presses and ponytails really work or even a draw string pony tail, but u might want to get like 1-3in of ure permed hair cut off, that would promote faster growing and healthier hair if u happen to have split ends.

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

If you want your hair straight, and you got a perm, then I would just say to iron it or go get a straight perm. =)

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

braids can help you grow new growth much faster and you should wash your hair regularly, try singles than cornrows and change them every 2months otherwise your hair will be uneven, cornrows tend not to last longer

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

I have nothing against braids and weaves, but I will tell you to try your hardest to keep them at a minimum. Especially if you're letting close friends of people who have little to no experience with these styles. Tight braids can cause what is called Traction or Traumatic Alopecia, which is basically due to repeititive traction on the hair by pulling or twisting. I can also be caused by excessive application of chemicals and hot combs. The condition is usually reversed when trauma has stopped.

So be mindful of who ever does your hair (look at their hair or some of their clients also)

Try: Two strand twists with your own hair. After cleaning hair and while hair is still wet, apply styling foam (check ingredients for alcohol, alcohol is bad for hair)and take whatever size section you desire of hair and split apart and twist together. You can let air dry or sit under hooded dryer. Once dried untwist and you have very versatile style you can leave down or pin up with combs, clips, or tie with scarves.

Also grab some hair magz, for style tips that will fit you.

I am an african american woman (I am a licensed cosmetologist and currently work in the hair industry) and my hair is natural and I have been since 2000 and the way I grew my hair out was with braids (no extensions) with my own hair and frequent trims.

Trims are very important to remove dead hair and to eliminate some shedding, because your hair will shed when you are growing it out!

All I can say is find a professional who will have a consultation with you and find out where you are (with your hair) and where you want to go! They will be able to determine the condition of your hair and what your hair can and cannot take. Now don't get me wrong, everyone who owns or works in a salon is not at professional, so you have to be very careful and will become more and more choosey (if not already) about the people you allow to touch your hair.

Once you have found someone you can trust with your hair, stick with 'em!

But all in all, even if you cannot afford to go to the salon, just keep your hair clean (shampooed and conditioned weekly), moisturized, and healthy. And keep in mind that whatever you put in your body comes out! You want healthy and fast growing hair, the put healthy foods in your body, eliminate smoking, drinking and any other bad things that are not good for you.

Happy Hair!

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

Quickweaves...You can still have styles with the relaxed look but your hair will be growing out back to it's natural state. Try weaving styles where your hair is cornrowed or plaited, placed under a breathable stocking cap and weave applied to the stocking cap. I make several styles like this myself with different textures of weaves to change my style every week or two. While my hair is underneath the stocking cap, it is growing, is not disturbed by pulling and tugging of braid extensions and when I take my style out and comb out my plaits, my real hair has grown significantly within those few weeks. I condition my hair really well every time I wash it also. This keeps it healthy. The weave glue in this case does not harm the hair because the weave tracks are not being applied to the scalp but rather to the stocking cap. In a nutshell, the styles are like a wig, you can take them on and off with ease.

What is the best way to transition from permed hair to natural African American hair?

You can go with straw sets, wet sets, braids, cornrows, and weaves. And gradually cut out the relaxer. I would avoid press and curls, etc. they tend not to last as long and heat styling consistently will damage hair.

When I transitioned I did the big chop. But my cousin grew out hair while getting braids and weaves constantly for approx. 2 years before she got her starter locs. So you can go through this process as long as you want. The key is keeping you hair healthy.

I have a round-ish face, blue/green/hazel eyes, brown natural highlighted hair, what style should I get?

i like this style http://bangs.hairresources.net/PartialUp... hope you like this :)

I have a round-ish face, blue/green/hazel eyes, brown natural highlighted hair, what style should I get?

I would say that if your face is round-ish, you should go with a cut no shorter than your shoulders. A short cut, even under your chin will only accentuate the fact that your face is round-ish. You want to keep the hair away from your face. Maybe long layers, styled full with a round brush for volume. This will detract from your face and make people look at you as a whole.

Do you think I should dye my hair a natural color?

Do you think I should dye my hair a natural color?

Do you think I should dye my hair a natural color?

amazing eyes.

Is it normal for a guy to have natural black eyebrows with a natural brown hair?

Yeah sure. My friend has natural black eye brows and natural blonde hair.

Is it normal for a guy to have natural black eyebrows with a natural brown hair?

I think so. Most people seem to have darker eyebrows than haircolor.

If I dye my hair darker, will all my natural highlights go away?

I naturally have dark brown hair and as my hair grows, the tips are turning lighter and I love my hair just the way it is, but just to fulfill my teenage experimental satisfaction, I want to dye my hair almost a nutmeg (darker) but I don't know if all my natural highlights will go away, so I need to know if it will, thank you!

If I dye my hair darker, will all my natural highlights go away?

yeah, the dye covers everything up.

If I dye my hair darker, will all my natural highlights go away?

yes they will

If I dye my hair darker, will all my natural highlights go away?

Have it professionally done and that way when they go...they can restore them....simple...

If I dye my hair darker, will all my natural highlights go away?

your natural highlights wont go away completely, it'll just darken it you dye it

I need guys 'n' girls opinion..would you prefer a woman with natural long hair or relaxed long hair?

It's about what you prefer. I think most conscious people prefer woman with healthy hair.

Either natural or chemical require the same amount of work but for different reasons.

I personally prefer myself relaxed - shrinkage is a mutha and I don't want to have to go through that nightmare EVER again.

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

Instead of those dark ugly strands on your head you call a hairstyle

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

After reading your question, a quote came into my mind.

" Light travels faster than sound. That's why people appear bright before you hear them speak."

But my dear girl, you don't even appear bright at all. Nor are you naturally smart. It's people like you that put blondes to shame. Gosh! If I'm a blonde, I would have committed suicide right away after reading your question.

Heard of "dumb blondes"? YOU ARE A GOOD EXAMPLE of it. Because of people like you, many people start calling blondes dumb.

Apart from intelligence, you also lack common sense. There's a thing called HAIR DYE and you can get it in any supermarkets. Are you living in the 21st century or during the Renaissance period? Don't you know that hair dyes exist in this world?

Go outside and you'll see many people having the same blonde hair as you. If I met you on the street, I will most probably think that you dyed your hair.

From your question, I can judge that you are a person who doesn't have any inner beauty. Who cares about you being a natural blonde? There are so many blondes in this world but what makes you special? Nothing except plain stupidity, arrogance and ignorance.

Personally, I won't want hair that comes from a person who doesn't have any inner beauty. No matter how gorgeous your hair can be, you are still ugly in many peoples' eyes. Who knows, your hair could even make me dumb and ugly!

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

It's nice...until I add the chlorine

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

HELL NAW. when u wet your nasty blond hair it spell like wet dog

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

YOUR STUPID AND RACIST! YOUR HAIR IS NAPPY UGLY AND FAKEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

Ugly comes from inside. You're disgusting. I think anyone with any self respect would rather screw a pile of crap than something like you.

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

I can't believe you are so full of yourself, I'd be embarrassed to be you

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

of course i wish i had your ugly blonde hair. you hairy swedish MAN. cough. i love my fro. and id die b4 u cut it off and put that lice infected shiz u call blonde hair on my head

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

No, I told you already: I like my hair. Also, you're strengthening the "Idiotic Swede" stereotype.

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

First of all you wish you could look like us, but god only found it fit to bless us with the hip and butt rather then the hair. But that's OK because your men enjoy everything about us because they know whats best and baby girl your blonde hair nor your blues eyes are it. You need to do something else in life besides trying to convince yourself you are better than anybody get a life .

Racism is a belief system or doctrine which states that inherent biological differences between human races determine cultural or individual achievement 閳?with a corollary that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.[1]

Some writers have used the term racism to refer to preference for one's own ethnic group (ethnocentrism), fear of foreigners (xenophobia), views against interracial relationships (miscegenation), and/or generalizations about a specific group of people (stereotype).[2][3]

Racism has been a motivating factor in social discrimination, racial segregation and violence, including genocide. Politicians are known to practice race baiting in an effort to win votes. The term racist has been a pejorative term since at least the 1940s, and the identification of a group or person as racist is often controversial.

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

As a mother of 4 Biracial children. They have some of the most beautiful hair I have ever seen. You are uneducated if you think that black women have bad hair. I know lots of black women who have hair that look better than yours or mine. You need to look at yourself and ask why you are even trying to make fun of another race. Something is lacking in your life that is making you an unhappy person and you need to reevaluate yourself.

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

Nope!

Hey non whites, do you ever wish you had my gorgeous natural blonde hair?

nope. Don't you wish you didn't get lice all the time?? You know, black people, we NEVER get lice. Bet you do you dirty eurotrash.

What is the best way to active the curls in my natural afro hair?

I am mixed race and have very curly hair (like mel b - spice girls), which is not totally afro but inbetween. I use a really heavy (pantene smooth and sleek) moisturising conditioner when it's wet.

I have to wet it every day to activate the curls, the conditioner really helps them from staying formed and not frizzy. If you can, always let it dry natuarally, your hair is much more likely to curl after being wet and just left to it's own devices! I also leave the conditioner in so that it weighs the curl down and use an alcohol free gel (l'oreal fx) to set the curls, i just run it through with my fingers and make sure it evenly distributed.... use a type that slides through your hair easily and doesn't have a crispy effect.... let it dry naturally!!!!! and do not comb!!!!!!

Keep your hair really well moisturised thou... using conditioners and not grease/oil type products. The black hair products grease etc just straighten it and encourage it to either frizz or clump together....

Conditioner and Gel... and let it dry naturally without combing!

Hope this helps!

Just read a couple more of the answers.....Yes.... definately stay away from relaxers or any kind of permanent treatment... you'll get curls alright... nasty, dry and damaged curls! And it'll take forever to grow it out!

What is the best way to active the curls in my natural afro hair?

I would go to a good hairdresser who understands afro hair and let them recommend something...I have very curly hair and use a product called Curl Booster sometimes...it re-activates the curls and smells good too. I don't have afro hair tho so may not work for your hair type...good luck with it.

I woulds say to use castor oil in your hair daily. massage it into the roots and entire hair length. this should be done religiously, and you will find that not only does your hair feel softer, it will be softer and look wonderful. goodluck

I have a relaxer but want to grow out my natural wavy hair. Does any one have any suggestions on how

I did the same thing about two years ago. You have to make sure you have a good stylist, or someone to trim your ends every few weeks. Your hair is going to break off as the new growth comes in. Just keep it very well conditioned and your hair should look great.

I have a relaxer but want to grow out my natural wavy hair. Does any one have any suggestions on how? ;-)?

well i would let it grow out until you can see some wave and then get a texture only perm that last only about 6 - 8 weeks easy on hair and it will give you some body back

I have a relaxer but want to grow out my natural wavy hair. Does any one have any suggestions on how? ;-)?

use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner alternating with MATRIX curl shampoo to plump up your natural wave that was stripped from the relaxer. also try a shorter hair cut for summer.

What is the best product to use on natural black hair?

pantene is the best i have tried so many shampoos as i have also black . so i got pantene is the good one

What is the best product to use on natural black hair?

I have long black hair, I mean really black, but Im asian. I like to use Pantene because it makes my black hair silky and more shiny.

What is the best product to use on natural black hair?

I'm guessing that by black hair you mean Afro-American hair. Well, i have been natural for over four years now and am sporting a TWA. It took me a while to figure out what products to use on my natural hair before i found a good combination.

For shampoos and conditioners, I use Pantene Pro-V for curly hair and the intensive moisturizing mask. I know that they have the new relaxed and natural line but i haven't tried it yet. I'm sure that that would work fine.

I don't have steps for every type of hair but I can tell you what i do to keep my normally dry and nappy hair soft and manageable:

When i just wash and condition my hair I use an herbal oil and moisturizing hair creme after i have pat dried my hair. Never tossel your hair after a wash cause it can cause knots and unruly tangles. After the hair is no longer dripping and is just damp, i work about a quarter sized amount of oil through my hair. I use Africa's best but there are many out there. If you really want the best oil, look for something with Jojoba oil, but mind you it's really expensive. Using a wide-toothed comb I then comb through my hair to detangle and distribute the oil. Depending on how I want to style my hair, i then party it into sections and apply a small amount of Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Hair Lotion to each section. Always focus on your ends when applying a creme or lotion. Oil spreads easily so you don't need to apply much to any particular location for it to cover your hair. After you have done all of this, style as you normally would.

When I need to deep condition my hair, which i do once every two weeks, I do so in two different ways. I use the Pantene Intensive moisturizing mask on my hair for the first time. The next i use a hot oil treatment. The pantene helps condition and smooth the hair follicles and the hot oil treatment make the hair softer and repairs some protein damage to the hair.

After a deep conditioning i only use two products, Profectiv Mega Growth lotion or V05 Keep Me Strong Leave-in Conditioner. I never use them both, always one or the other. Normally i use the leave in conditioner after the oil treatment and the lotion after the mask.

All of these products can normally be found at a local Wal-Mart or chain store. Profectiv has a huge line of hair products that are all really great. I would definately recommend that and Organic Root Stimulator products that don't contain petroleum. Don't be afraid to try a bunch of things on your hair.

I would advise you to never EVER buy a product with petroleum. All it is is Vasaline and it only coats the hair shaft. Doing so can keep moisture and nutrients from penetrating the hair and causing it to be dry and brittle. It is also very difficult to wash off. Mineral oil is derived from petroleum (i think) and can have the same effect if it is high on the ingredients list. Make sure you start reading labels if you already don't. Only use WIDE toothed combs on your hair and drink plenty of water.

Have a good hair day!

What is the best product to use on natural black hair?

I would suggest you go to palacinka.com and take a look at the "hair" section. I'm not sure if you're Asian or black, but they have great reviews of products for both.

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

I have a henna - extract shampoo that gives you highlights, but that is if you use it daily -- it will only give you highlights if you use it gradually. Another technique I learned was to add lime juice to your hair and then wash it -- this will bring out the various diff. colors in your hair. These ways are more healthier and livelier for your hair rather than chemicals and dye being added to your hair. So , I kindly ask you for your input on ways to get highlights in a livelier manner?

-Thanks (:

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

The biggest problem with what you are asking is that anything done without chemicals will most likely turn your hair VERY brassy. When you begin to lighten black/dark brown hair, chemically or not, the first stage in the ligntening process is for it to turn red/orange. Unfortunately, this tends to give a negative response :)

Chemicals have gotten a bad name over the past several years, but the fact is that used properly they will probably give you a more desirable effect than what you could do at home. Lemon/lime juice is an acid, and will only react with sunlight as a catalyst. In addition, if it only lighten's "a little" your hair will most likely have a brassy tone to it. Think back to the girls who used to use Sun-in on black hair!

My suggestion would be to go to your stylist, and have her do a few face-framing highlights with color (not bleach). Provided you don't have color on your hair, color lifts hair beautifully, and can be formulated to counteract any underlying pigment..i.e. orange!

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

Sunlight.

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

i have brown hair, and i rinse my hair maybe once a week with camomile tea and i also put in the juice from one lemmom.. it makes my hair a big lighter every time i use it (dont expect radical changes though)

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

I really like John Frieda highlighting shampoo and conditioner for brunettes. It is very inepxensive and I was surprized that it worked so nicely. It is very subtle but nice shine.

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

i have dark brownish-black hair.

i used the john frieda shampoo.

it looked nice. i think i used about 2 bottles and than i switched shampoos. it smelled nice.hehe

but it worked. someone asked me if i highlighted my hair (even though i didnt notice that much of a difference)

What is the best way to give black/dark brown hair some natural highlights w/o the dye?

roubug is absolutely right! If she hadn't said it I would. Also henna builds up on your hair and makes it dull and gross after awhile and you can't really reverse its effects

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

I dont want to bleach it and should I have it professionally done and where?

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

with your hair being black its gonna be hard to do the red. your gonna have to go with the bleach unfortunitly if you really want the highlights

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

hmmm - it will no show up very well without bleaching it first... please go to a professional for this - don't ruin your naturally black hair!

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

You can't get a vibrant red, without stripping your natural colour 1st. It will be more of a red tint.

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

My college roommate had black hair and it looked absolutely beautiful with red highlights. You definately should have it professionally done. I think that you have to have the part of your hair that will be red bleached first, but they use foils so that only the parts that are being dyed red get bleached--not your whole head. Go to your hair salon and see a stylist for a consultation he/she should be able to explain the procedure in detail and tell you how your hair will react to the different chemicals.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll love it!

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

if u have a wheatish skin tone, blood red highlights are the best. if u are pale skinned, go for maroon or dark red. if u have dark skin a very bright red highlight will look nice.

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

i have dark hair too and you have to get it bleached, there is no other choice..im sorry...get it done at a good hairdressers...where they wont damage the hair...

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

go to a professional.....

The color depends upon your skin color.....

So i think a professional hair dresser can suggest a good color for u.

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

Go to a salon that uses loreal colours. they have got majicontast reds that goes on black hair without bleaching the hair. have the highlights scatered all over. it will look nice. i know anout this product coz im a hairdresser.

I want to get red highlights with my natural black hair?

yes you should get it professionally done cuz you don't exactly no what kind of color you will wind up with if you go with a non professional color, trust me i work in a salon and have had to try to fix many of colors that have been done by box or other than professionally done, not exactly easy. if you want highlights go to Cost Cutters and ask to see their colors you can do just about any color on black hair. If you don't want to use bleach, then use a high lift color to get the same effect without the damage that bleach can do.

What is the best colour to dye over natural auburn hair?

dont dye your hair!!! here are some reasons why:

1) auburn is a lovely hair colour.

2) dyeing your hair will make your hair weaker

3) you will have to keep dying it to stop getting roots.

but if you really wanted to dye your hair, i think any colour will go over it well if prefssionally done.

GOOD LUCK!

What advice do you give a woman transitioning from permed hair to natural?

I am in the process of growing out my relaxer. I have been relaxing my hair since I was seven and I havent seen my "real" hair since. I personally think I was brainwashed as a child thinking it would make me more beautiful...when what god gave me was the way to go! I don't want braids or a weave because my hair is in a weak state. So far I have just been deep conditioning blowdrying my hair two or three days out of the month and resting my hair for the remaining days...I need some advice... help!

What advice do you give a woman transitioning from permed hair to natural?

That is a really good thing to do, if you have been relaxing for that long your hair will be weak and may have spots that have limited growth. I suggest you get some products that'll heal you scalp, add volume back to you hair and soften it, cause I'm willing to bet it is quite rough. A good product range that I have been using the last 2 years since my hair was damaged by relaxers is Dr Miracles. Unfortunately you won't be able to get away with not cutting it at all as you will need to cut the relaxed bits, but you can do it gradually as your own hair regenerates, not all at once, try this site for products: www.tashasbeauty.co.nz. Good luck!

What advice do you give a woman transitioning from permed hair to natural?

Cut it ALL OFF and start over fresh. You just might like the hairless look.

What advice do you give a woman transitioning from permed hair to natural?

dont do it

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

My hair seems dull and the ends are kind of frayed... I hate my hair!!!! :( Please help! That would be great.

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

conditioner it 2 times a day. dont washit over 2 times a day. just conditioner. and make sure it's a realllllyyy greasy feeling conditioner or realllly like...oily feeling. you need oil. and no matter how ugly you think it is, it gets uglier straightening and curling and brushing too often. frys your hair. and PLEASE dont change color over once a year. thats what reallyyy ruins peeps hair.

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

For the frayed ends of your hair use VO5 hot oil treatment. TO make your hair shiny use vinegar as a rinse after you have washed your hair and rinse your hair with cold water. Don't use vinegar and the hot oil treatment on the same day

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

I squeeze the juice of fresh lemons in my hand (about half a medium), rub my hands together quickly and rub it all through my hair. Go outside for about a half hour. The natural oils really libricate and it naturally adds a hint of highlight. My hair is always very shiny when I do that! :-)

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

Hello,

Two words for you: Extra virgin coconut oil (available in health food stores). Sounds strange, but it works! Use it as moisturizer after washing your hair.

You will be amazed at the shine! Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

First of all you might need a new hair cut. Once my hair was dry and dull, but then I got it cut and it was heathly looking and shiny.

Make sure your not washing your hair to much that is bad! It doesn't give your pores time to open.

Try using a new kind of shampoo too.

Hope this helps!!!

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

Put 'Baby oil' every weekend (or day) and soon it will get really silky.

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

Get your hair trimmed and use a hydrating shampoo for the ends. There are sooooooooooooo many shampoos an conditionars out there that will fix your hair. So expeariment a little. I love herbal essences shampoo. Good Luck!

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

talk to a beautician or a hir stylist.

How can you make your hair looking natural and shiny?

Well, first, you could do a hot oil treatment. If your ends don't look any better after that, then they definitely are due for a trimming. Try using a glosser like Got2B Dazzling Shine Pump Spray or Glossy Shine Serum, John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock Leave On Perfecting Glosser, or Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Shine Styling Milk. If your hair seems dull, you may need more moisture; make sure you are using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is dry, you should avoid using heat to style it and maybe wash your hair a little less often than people with more oily hair. Once every two to three days is fine. Also try a moisturizing creme like SunSilk Hydra TLC 24/7 Creme or Neutrogena Triple Moisture Leave in Conditioner if your hair is thick enough for it to not be weighed down.

How do you keep your hair's natural curl?

After I wash my hair and let it air dry I have a beautiful curl but when I brush my hair the curl goes away :(. So how can I make it stay?

How do you keep your hair's natural curl?

Hey, I have natural wavy hair and this happens to me too whenever I brush or comb my hair. Because it is wavy when you bursh it it separates the hair and it goes bush woman on you. I hate it. I don't wash my hair every day ~ I do it every other day. BUT, I do re-wet my hair in the shower every day and put a conditioner on it. That helps keep the curl/wave and the conditioner helps tame the volumn and bush. I comb my hair wet ~ use a mouse to hold the hairs together and NEVER TOUCH the hair again. Otherwise it goes bush woman on me. Try this ~ it may work for you too.

If you must brush or comb your hair ~ use a pick and just lightly comb it ~ NOT too much or it will go bush !

How do you keep your hair's natural curl?

People with curly hair should never brush their hair unless it's wet. My advice is to wash it, then brush it, then put some sort of product in it. I suggest Curls Rock. I love that stuff. If you can't find that, try using mousse that's for curly hair.

1) auburn is a lovely hair colour.

2) dyeing your hair will make your hair weaker

3) you will have to keep dying it to stop getting roots.

but if you really wanted to dye your hair, i think any colour will go over it well if prefssionally done.

GOOD LUCK!

I would like to know how to go natural without cutting all my hair?

I am tried of useing chemical in my hair and think of going natural but do not wish to cutting all my hair

I would like to know how to go natural without cutting all my hair?

Sorry, but there's no way to get chemically treated hair back to "virgin status" except to cut it off and start over...............

I would like to know how to go natural without cutting all my hair?

i am sorry to say but you have to let your hair grow out if you want it natural.....i have waist length natural blonde hair now.. but i used to lighten is (A lot) you have to let it grow out.. trim it every couple of months with cuts off the split ends and damaged and gets rid od died hair and leaving more of natural color. if you dye your hair a very different color then your own.. say you are blonde and dye it red or brown.. tying dying it to the closet color you can get that looks like you natural color... if you dont want do that the only thing to do is let it grow out! good luck!

I would like to know how to go natural without cutting all my hair?

You can use hair color to go back to your natural color and then let your hair gradually grow back to its original color. If you use a permanent color, you will be using chemicals that will fade a bit over time. However, you can use a semi-permanent color to keep the roots from showing.

It all depends on your current hair color and the color you are going back to as to how strong a hair dye you need to use. I strongly recommend a good hair colorist; doing it yourself could give you more of a problem.

If you're talking about a perm. and want to take the curl out--definitely see a professional! Those chemicals can be really harsh.

I would like to know how to go natural without cutting all my hair?

I'm going through the same process. It really depends on if you are willing to take care of you own hair or let someone else do it. Case in point: I take very good care of my hair so if I get a full weave cap(ask you stylist if you dont know the terms) and I would know how to take it out without ripping my hair. If you aren't willing don't get it unless your stylist is going to remove it, which you would be charged for also. If you don't want to much fuss, just braid it up or get a full weave sewn into your hair. You'll be doing this for a good 1 1/2 years if you want you natural hair to be long when you finally wear it out. However, if you are proud of your roots like me, you can wait until you get 3-5 inches of natural growth and rock some really cute styles. Dare to be an individual - ultra long hair is not the world. Plus the longer you're weaving your hair the more money you'll be spending. --- DO NOT PRESS YOUR ROOTS IF YOU STILL HAVE CHEMICALS IN YOUR HAIR that means if you wet your hair and the ends are straight surprise that is still chemically processed hair.

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

I've heard you could lighten hair with lemon juice, bleach, and peroxide but do you have any other suggestions??

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

Hmm..I was thinking why do you need to lighten your hair color yourself? Why not visit a hair salon? They've proper equipments and hair lightening products to assist you. The ingredients you've mentioned will only lighten a little but damage your hair badly. My advice is pls go to hair salon and don't do anything silly. It may causes you to regret and the results will scare you.

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

well, the only other thing thatI can think of besides that is getting highlights!! sorry, but in the end, bleaching is the only thing that lightens hair, it just depends on how you bleach it, whether it's lemon juice, peroxide or high lights in the hair dresser. sorry I cant be more helpful!!

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

lemon soak.. it does it really well.

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

lemon juice and heat. would not do very much though.. the acidic level in the juice will eventually trash your hair..

How can I lighten my hair with natural ingredients?????

Lemon and sunshine will lighten it a bit, but anything that lightens your hair damages it so if you're looking for a non-damaging secret then, I hate to dissappoint you, but there isn't one.

Probably the best idea, if you want to go more than two shades lighter, is to go to a professional who knows how to lighten hair and will then condition it and tell you how to care for it so you won't do any further damage.

Good luck!

Hi,

Something About Turkish women;

Please read it;

What kind of products for dry fade natural brown hair becoming grey taking thyroid pills?

You may first try to contact your doctor. The reason why is that your hormones may be changing ( your hair is becoming gray). This change in hormones can trigger changes in your thyroid levels as well. Therefore your medication may need to be adjusted (This is common as individuals get older).

In the meantime if you want to use a good conditioner. You can try Aussie's 3 minute miracle conditioner. It's inexpensive and works great. Or if you need something for tonight. Try mayonnaise, I know that it sounds gross but it works. You can warm a small amount up in the microwave, just enough to get it to room temp. Then wash you hair like usual and apply the mayo to your hair. Working from the ends of your hair towards the roots. When your hair is coated, let it sit for 3 minutes and then rinse. If you need a deep conditioning. You can put a shower cap on or wrap you hair with clingwrap for 5 minutes. The heat from your body will help the oils and the proteins from the mayo to penatrate the hair shaft better. Just make sure to rinse well. I hope that this helps.
