Numbers 4 %26amp; 5 on the boxes are the best for dark brown shades. If you do use black, there is nothing to get the color out unless you use bleach or let it grow out. Believe me I have been almost every color and dyed my hair more times than I can remember. Because your hair is also closer to being blonde, if you want to avoid red tones make sure the color name does not contain "golden" or you may end up with a red tint.

hmm ive got the same color hair and i recently got foils in that are a shade lighter than my color it looks nice but i suggest for you keep the same color and get maybe lots of tiny streaks of dark blond but it all depends on your skin tone and eye color also the brand should probably Garnier.
